As Executive Director of the Federal Aviation Administration’s Unmanned Air Craft Systems Integration Office (AUS), Peter “Jay” Merkle is responsible for facilitating the FAA’s safe integration of drones into the National Airspace System.
Prior to joining AUS, Merkle served as Deputy Vice President (DVP) of the Program Management Organization within the Air Traffic Organization. As the DVP, he worked with FAA operations and aviation users to ensure globally interoperable solutions for NextGen.
Dr. Marcus Johnson is a Deputy Lead for the NASA Urban Air Mobility Grand Challenge and has also served as a Deputy Project Manager for the Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) Traffic Management (UTM) Project at the NASA Ames Research Center. He holds a doctorate in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Florida and his research interests focus on intelligent systems in aerospace applications and the integration of novel and new aircraft into the national airspace.
Brian Wynne is president and CEO of the Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI), the world's largest nonprofit organization dedicated to the advancement of unmanned systems and robotics. AUVSI represents corporations and professionals from more than 60 countries involved in business and government and who work in the defense, civil, and commercial markets.
Mario leads sales, marketing, and government relations for DJI North America and international communications for DJI. Mario has represented global and start-up companies (Microsoft, Good Technology, Lenovo), and has served in public office. Mario focuses his time on IT Modernization (cloud, mobile, security, data protection) and what’s next on IT, and is a trusted counselor to C-level and Government leaders.
Brigadier General Todd Hunt has been the Director of Joint Staff, Joint Force Headquarters, North Carolina National Guard and Assistant Adjutant General for Maneuver since 2016. BG Hunt is also the Deputy Commanding General for US Army Aviation Center of Excellence located at Ft. Rucker, AL.
